Clearlake-backed PrimeSource Brands acquires Starborn Industries

PrimeSource Brands, which is backed by Clearlake Capital Group, has acquired Starborn Industries, an Edison, New Jersey-based provider of branded fastening solutions and installation systems for decking and exterior applications. No financial terms were disclosed.
PrimeSource Brands is a provider of specialty branded building products.
The transaction represents PrimeSource Brands’ eleventh acquisition since partnering with Clearlake in December 2020.
“Today marks another successful milestone in our strategy to grow PrimeSource into a scale, branded specialty building products platform,” said José E. Feliciano, co-founder and managing partner, and Colin Leonard, partner and managing director, at Clearlake. “Over the past two years, we have deployed significant capital through PrimeSource into outdoor living, one of our highest-conviction categories within residential building products.”
