XGIMI Launches Z9X Pro High Brightness Edition With 120Hz Support

XGIMI is not going to stop until it becomes a major contender in the projector segment. Following the launch of its upgraded Elfin laser projectors, the company has launched its latest Z9K Pro High Brightness Edition in China, which shows its willingness to introduce a new set of features and upgraded picture quality to users. Named XGIMI Z9X Pro High Brightness Edition, it focuses on adding a significant brightness upgrade to the standard Z9K model launched last year.

It is a 4K projector powered by the next-generation QuaLas 42 tri-color laser for more accurate color reproduction and a high brightness level of 1600 CVIA Lumens. It achieves a dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1. For even better performance, it comes with a throw ratio of 0.98-1.3:1, which allows it to project a 100-inch image from 2.17 meters away. Furthermore, Z9X Pro also comes with flexible optical zoom that allows you to adjust the screen size without cropping the image, which downgrades the picture quality.

XGIMI has also taken care of gaming enthusiasts with support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). As noted by Notebookcheck, it comes with a dual mode that allows for a 4K resolution at 60Hz or 1080p at 120Hz. The input lag is also claimed to be as low as 1ms. There are also built-in Harman Kardon speakers with support for DTS:X to complete the viewing experience without any external devices.

The projector features a 150-degree adjustable built-in stand that also doubles as the handle. This folding handle stand also provides lens protection when the device is not in use. Z9X Pro has two HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, a DC power input port, and an audio port for external connectivity.

This newer version comes with a thinner 1.5kg body that’ll take less space and help it seamlessly blend into modern homes. As per an official post on Weibo, despite increasing brightness, the projector adds no extra cost, which makes it a great offer for potential buyers. It will be priced at ¥3,299 RMB (about $488) on XGIMI official e-commerce platforms.

There are no details on whether it will be available globally. But we assume it is not intended for the USA market. GizmoChina reports that the projector runs on the Mi Home ecosystem and Xiao AI voice control, backing the statement that it will not be available in the USA; however, you can also find an Android version of the same at Alibaba.com.
