The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is here, with Spain and Argentina set to face off in soccer’s biggest game on Sunday, July 19. But before either team takes home the trophy, some of music’s biggest stars will make history of their own.
Ahead of kickoff at New York New Jersey Stadium, Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira and BTS will headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.
The performance will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.
“When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement announcing the performers.
“We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.”
The star-studded 11-minute performance will be curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and feature Burna Boy, whose collaboration with Shakira, “Dai Dai,” continues to dominate charts worldwide.
The packed lineup also includes internationally acclaimed Venezuelan conductor and New York Philharmonic Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, along with the Webby Award-winning PS22 Chorus performing with Coldplay.

Bieber returned to performing in April after headlining two nights of Coachella. In his nostalgia-fuelled return, he played videos of his old music videos and biggest hits, including “Baby” and “Never Say Never,” and performed tracks from his 2025 double album, SWAG and SWAG II.
The 32-year-old singer said he was grateful to be part of the show and that it’s helping expand access to education.
“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” Bieber said. “I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”
Shakira, one of the most recognizable performers in FIFA World Cup history, will also take the stage after headlining the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City. She first performed at the World Cup 20 years ago and later delivered the tournament’s well-known anthem, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” during the 2010 World Cup closing ceremony.
This year, Shakira performs the tournament anthem, “Dai Dai,” alongside Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy. The pair debuted the song during the opening ceremony in Mexico City.
“To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly,” Burna Boy added.

BTS will also take the stage as the group continues its highly anticipated comeback following a nearly four years hiatus due to mandatory military service. After releasing ARIRANG in March, the K-pop superstars kicked off their Arirang World Tour shortly after.
The World Cup closing ceremony will also include performances from Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and Jennifer Hudson, who is also set to sing the national anthem before kickoff. Tom Cruise will also reportedly make a special appearance during the game-day festivities.
