Trump’s eldest son, Don Jr., publicly spoke out against Andrew Tate’s detention in Romania, calling it “absolute insanity” in a May 2023 tweet and appeared on a livestream with him in 2024, telling him, “you’ve got people attacking you as far as I’m concerned,” while Trump ally and billionaire Elon Musk has also backed Andrew Tate’s take on U.K. politics in a January 2025 tweet.
Trump’s youngest son, Barron, also cultivated a relationship with Andrew Tate, as Barron helped with outreach to young men during Trump’s 2024 campaign, multiple outlets reported, though a spokesperson for the Tates previously told The New York Times its findings about Barron’s connections to Andrew Tate were “fake news.”
The Tates have repeatedly praised Trump and urged his followers to vote for him in 2024—Andrew Tate said he spoke to Barron after the 2024 assassination attempt against Trump, telling reporters, “I’m very close with the Trump family. I know them well.”
