We’re selling 135 shares of Corning at roughly $148 each. As we detailed on Monday, the governors of Texas and Pennsylvania have pivoted to a harder-line stance against data center developers. Previously, the two governors were champions of AI data center investment in their states. That has changed over the past month. Now, Texas Governor Greg Abott is saying data center companies moving too fast into communities lacking support have ” dug their own grave .” Last week, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro issued an executive order requiring stricter standards for construction projects and additional disclosures aimed at rooting out more speculative activity. We don’t think this harsh rhetoric will let up until after the midterm elections, creating a speed bump for the data center buildout. To protect some of the big gains we’ve accumulated across several positions, we cut our Broadcom position in half on Monday, while booking a massive gain , and we signaled another sale could be coming.
