Wells Fargo Advisors (WFA) has recruited financial advisors from Merrill Lynch, First Citizens and Citizens Securities, where they managed more than $590 million in client assets.
The advisors hail from South Carolina, California and Pennsylvania and were recruited earlier this month.
WFA, the St. Louis subsidiary of Wells Fargo, added Steven Cottillion and Christian Tully of the Tully Cottillion Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Max Ortiz in San Francisco; and Darron L. Carpenter in Philadelphia.
Tully Cottillion Group, which has offices in Pawleys Island and Myrtle Beach, S.C., left Merrill Lynch, where they managed more than $270 million in client assets.
Eight-year veteran Ortiz spent two years at First Citizens Investor Services before joining WFA, according to BrokerCheck. He managed more than $180 million at First Citizens and is supported by Qwen Lai, senior wealth client analytics specialist.
Carpenter spent six years at Citizens before joining WFA, according to BrokerCheck. He managed about $140 million in assets at his former firm.
In his LinkedIn bio, Carpenter said he has more than 20 years experience in financial services, working with clients who are usually navigating a transition event, such as retirement, a liquidity event, or generational wealth transfer.
“I build tailored strategies for each stage,” he wrote.
