If you’re looking for a portable lamp with long-lasting battery life, the ILKW SNOWMA12 Lamp is for you. South Korean lighting studio ILKW recently upgraded its popular SNOWMAN lamp with 260 hours of battery life, four color variants, and more. The previous SNOWMAN8 lamp was widely loved for its portability and convenience, but the brand wanted to create something more performative.
The most significant improvement in the SNOWMAN12 portable lamp is its battery. The brand upgraded the 900mAh battery to a 5,000mAh battery, increasing performance from 60 hours to 260 hours with a two-hour charge. The light output increased from 28 lumens to 48 lumens, resulting in greater brightness.
The Senior Manager of the Development Team in ILKW, Minhyuk Cho, said that after widening the range of illumination, “the text can be clearly read within approximately 50cm (20 inches).” Another noticeable change is the expanded 4.7-inch shade diameter for a more architectural appearance and to support the upgraded light source more widely.
To balance the overall form, the brand introduced a balloon-like base, fitted deliberately with a patterned silicone plate. On the front, a touch button feature with a subtle raised accent lets users locate it by touch even in the dark.
It has a two-toned body with four color variants: Oatmeal & Cocoa, Silver & Light Mint, Carrot & Pink, and Butter & Baby Blue, giving you options. “By contrasting different materials and colors, SNOWMAN12 carries a more distinctive presence,” said Sunman Kwon, Creative Director of ILKW lighting studio.

The packaging may look simple, but the thought behind it is nostalgic. “Drawing on the proportions and warmth of the cookie tin cases we used to receive in our childhood, we designed the packaging to turn the moment of gifting a lamp into a warmer, more lasting memory,” said Kwon.
