RoundTable Healthcare Partners has appointed Ed Jones as operating partner. Jones spent nearly 14 years as president and chief executive officer of HealthTrust Performance Group, developing relationships across the healthcare ecosystem to drive value for hospitals and health systems, before retiring after more than four decades with HPG and HCA Healthcare.

The appointment follows RoundTable’s hire in May of Amardeep Kahlon, former chief executive officer of Designs for Health, a former RoundTable portfolio company, as operating partner. In his new role, Jones will work with RoundTable’s investment and operating teams to help accelerate value creation at portfolio companies and contribute to evaluating new investment opportunities.

“Ed brings a valuable perspective shaped by decades of experience building and scaling healthcare organizations,” said Barb Sullivan, chair and managing partner at RoundTable. “He further strengthens the operating expertise we provide to our portfolio companies and our domain expertise in the medical device sector.”

“Ed brings extensive experience and success in building high performing teams and identifying attractive market opportunities where companies can differentiate and create lasting value,” said Tim Connors, managing partner at RoundTable. “He is performance driven, collaborative, and understands how to build successful healthcare businesses.”

RoundTable has raised $4.25 billion in committed capital, including six equity funds totaling $3.65 billion and three subordinated debt funds totaling $600 million.
