Orion Adds Fractional Share Trading for Schwab Advisers

Orion Advisor Solutions introduced fractional share trading for advisers who custody assets with Schwab Advisor Services, allowing them to implement client portfolios to the dollar through Orion Trading and its order management system. The feature is designed to reduce cash drag, improve portfolio precision and enable more accurate rebalancing, particularly for smaller accounts and high-priced securities.

Because the capability is built directly into Orion’s existing trading workflow, advisers can begin using fractional shares without additional software or manual processes. According to Orion, the enhancement is currently available to Orion Advisor Technology clients using Orion Trading, as well as Orion Custom Indexing sub-advisory clients, helping advisers execute model portfolios more precisely while expanding access to direct indexing strategies.

SEI Launches Research-Enhanced Large-Cap ETF

SEI has launched the SEI Ang Research Enhanced U.S. Large Cap ETF, the first in a planned lineup of research-enhanced exchange-traded funds. The fund is designed to provide broad U.S. large-cap equity exposure, while reducing the concentration risk associated with traditional market-cap-weighted indexes through a multifactor investment approach.

ANGU tracks the iSTOXX Ang Research Enhanced U.S. Large Cap Index, developed in collaboration with factor investing expert Andrew Ang and STOXX, which, like PLANSPONSOR, is owned by ISS STOXX. The index incorporates value, quality and momentum signals while maintaining broad market exposure, giving advisers a transparent, rules-based ETF intended to enhance portfolio construction without significantly departing from traditional benchmark performance.

my529 Extends incentiFive Savings Incentive Program

Utah’s my529 college savings plan extended its incentiFive program through the 2030 cohort year, following what the organization described as a successful pilot. The program encourages families to begin saving for education early by offering eligible Utah families up to $929 in incentive contributions over five years when they contribute at least $100 annually to a child’s my529 account. Sign-ups for the 2027 cohort open on September 1, 2026.

Under the program, participants receive $100 in incentive contributions during each of the first four years and a final $529 contribution in the fifth year if annual savings requirements are met. According to my529, the initiative is intended to help families establish long-term savings habits and build education funds earlier, allowing contributions additional time to grow before future education expenses arise.
