OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners, a Parsippany, N.J.-based RIA with $18 billion in assets under management, has acquired Bast Financial Group, a Tampa, Fla., wealth management firm overseeing about $400 million.
OnePoint will also be absorbing a seven-person team led by veteran advisor and founder Rebecca Bast to its rapidly expanding network, according to a press release.
The addition of Tampa-based Bast Financial earlier this month is OnePoint’s latest move to expand in the Sunshine State.
Earlier this year, OnePoint entered the Greater Orlando metropolitan area with the addition of Armstrong & Sinoff Financial, a boutique financial planning firm in Winter Park, Fla, with more than $425 million under management.
Founded in 1985 as a Northwestern Mutual district office, OnePloint BFG operated as Bleakley Financial Group until rebranding last summer. In 2024, Rise Growth Partners, the private equity venture run by Joe Duran, took a 30% noncontrolling stake in the RIA.
Bast Financial will rebrand as OnePoint BFG. The practice serves business owners, executives and families with complex planning needs, including multigenerational wealth transfer, the release said.
OnePoint BFG CEO Andy Schwartz said Bast and her team’s “experience, empathy and commitment to planning will elevate the client experience across our firm. At the same time, OnePoint BFG’s scale and resources will give their clients even greater depth without disrupting the trusted relationships they have built over decades.”
OnePoint BFG said the combination strengthens its ability to serve business owners, executives and families navigating complex financial decisions and multigenerational planning.
Bast Financial will gain access to a full fiduciary model, expanded investment capabilities, upgraded technology and a broader team of specialists, according to the release.
Bast called the combination “the best of both worlds” for her firm, as she and her team will have the freedom and flexibility to operate as an independent firm, while having access to the resources, technology and support to serve their clients “at the highest level.”
OnePoint BFG’s “client-first culture immediately felt aligned with the vision we have built at Bast Financial Group,” she said in a statement.
The OnePoint BFG team includes Parveen Hall, Daniel George, Taylor McCullough, Elena Madrazo, Jonathan Clifford and Jamie Hayes.
