McDonald’s Drops Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal Collab

McDonald’s says hello with Hello Kitty and Godzilla in this latest monstrous Happy Meal menu, starting August 18. This limited-edition collaboration gives beauty and the beast vibes, and fans can’t contain their excitement. Best of all, the McDonald’s Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal includes costumed characters that are too cute to resist, perfect for any enthusiastic collector.

This latest leviathan Happy Meal menu includes eight adorable toys, blending the cuteness of Hello Kitty characters and the fierceness of the monsters from the iconic Godzilla film franchise. For fans of Hello Kitty and Godzilla, this feels like the collaboration of the year where two of the biggest pop-culture figures come together under the same roof. We couldn’t agree more; after all, this collaboration has made both kids and adults go crazy. So much so that adults are in line before kids to get their hands on these limited-edition toys.

According to USA Today, McDonald’s describes the new Happy Meal toys as “the ultimate crossover where Kawaii meets Kaiju (a term used in films for a subgenre of monster films made in Japan), making friends at first bite and proving that even the mightiest monsters have a soft side,” on its menu spotter website.

Each of these collectible toys features a unique merriment of beloved Sanrio characters and ferocious Godzilla monsters. As Parade states, these despicably delightful eight mini figurines include Hello Kitty x Godzilla, Cinnamoroll x Destoroyah, Badtz-Maru x Rodan, My Melody x Mothra, Keroppi x King Ghidorah, Chococat x Space Godzilla, Pompompurin x Gigan, and Kuromi x Mechagodzilla. With every Happy Meal, you get a chance to bring home a piece of this monster-sized pop culture alliance.
