Lume Ranger Packs Luxury Caravan Features in Compact Size

Only a few names in the RV industry compete directly with Airstream. By opting for polished aluminum shells, brands such as Bowlus, Living Vehicle, X-Cabin, and Lume have carved out a niche. If you want a similar premium experience in a compact, lightweight form, Lume has an interesting solution with its Ranger model, recently showcased at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026. It packs luxury caravan features into a 17-foot-long, 6.6-foot-wide, and 7.1-foot-tall body.

With an unladen weight of 1,150 kg and a maximum permissible weight of 1,500 kg, the Ranger is significantly lighter and more maneuverable than many luxury caravans. Its compact size can be towed by a standard crossover or compact SUV.

On the exterior end, the Lume Ranger features a retro, Airstream-like look with a hand-riveted, anodized aluminum body. Unlike its older models famous for an openable sunroof over the main bed, the Ranger features a pop-up lifting roof mechanism to complete its exterior look, which eventually increases standing room inside.

The interior space boasts natural warmth with wool felt walls, teak flooring, and leather details. The layout has been completely rearranged to maximize utility within a limited footprint.

Suitable for two people, the caravan now features a queen-size Auping bed (160×200 cm), spanning the full width of the trailer. Next, the mid-section has a small, enclosed bathroom equipped with a toilet, along with an open floor area.

The front of the travel trailer includes seating and a table for inhabitants to spend quality time in the living room. The most distinctive feature is the slide-out outdoor kitchen unit that extends from the side of the camper. It comes complete with a sink, dual-burner cooktop, and preparation space for outdoor cooking.

The maker has focused on making the Ranger luxury caravan model lighter and more agile so that travel enthusiasts can take it to far places. While Lume’s high-end trailers easily cost over $115,000, the Ranger serves as an entry-level option, starting at €49,950 (approximately $58,000).
