KKR-backed Spectris acquires sensor business Sentech

  • Sentech will join Hottinger Brüel & Kjær, which is part of Spectris
  • HBK, which has offices in Denmark, Germany and the UK, is a provider of test and measurement solutions
  • This is Spectris’ first acquisition since it became a KKR portfolio company

Spectris Group, which is backed by KKR, has acquired Sentech, a Pennsylvania and North Carolina-based sensor business. The seller was Astor Place Holdings.

No financial terms were disclosed.

Based in London, Spectris is a supplier of high-tech precision instrumentation, test equipment, and software for industrial applications.

Sentech will join Hottinger Brüel & Kjær, which is part of Spectris.

HBK, which has offices in Denmark, Germany and the UK, is a provider of test and measurement solutions.

This is Spectris’ first acquisition since it became a KKR portfolio company.

The deal is expected to close later this year.
