Placed as a vacation rental on a lot in Flaxton, New Zealand, this Kiwi tiny house uses an eye-catching window arrangement to elevate its compact layout. In this design, we see windows doing much of the work to make the interior space feel spacious.
Despite being just 139 square feet, the tiny home thoughtfully places openings throughout the interior to create an open atmosphere and connection to the outdoors. The large vertical windows are clearly visible to the front, adding a modern touch to the exterior. When sleeping or seeking privacy, these openings can be covered with roller blinds.
Inside, there is an open floor layout, with an all-white color palette paired with black accents. One side of the tiny house is dedicated to the sleeping area, while the bathroom lies on the other. There are floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the bed, which makes sleeping with outside views possible.
The kitchen lies in the center and is also blessed with an outward-opening awning window.
