Justin Bieber Perfects His Top 10 Winning Streak On One Chart

Last summer, Justin Bieber returned with a new surprise album titled Swag. The Canadian pop talent had waited years to deliver the set, which came with almost no warning and delighted fans who were worried they wouldn’t get to hear from the superstar again.

Months after Swag arrived, it became available on vinyl, and Bieber fans turned it into a strong seller, if not a true bestseller, on the format. Now Swag is back on a number of Billboard charts, and thanks to new vinyl copies becoming available and selling extremely well, the project rises higher than ever on one roster.

Justin Bieber’s Swag Reaches the Vinyl Albums Chart’s Top 10

Swag returns to the Vinyl Albums chart – the list of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs on wax in the U.S. – and it hits the top 10 for the first time as it grows. The full-length reenters the ranking of the bestselling releases on the format at No. 10. Swag first reached the Vinyl Albums roster in November of last year, but only for a short stay.

Justin Bieber Maintains His Perfect Top 10 Record

Bieber keeps his top 10 track record perfect on the Vinyl Albums chart now that Swag is on the rise. The Grammy winner has pushed only three of his releases to the roster, and all of them have broken into the highest tier, though Swag does represent a new low for the singer.

Justice stands as the singer’s highest-ranking win, and it brought him closest to the summit, though instead of ruling the release stalled at No. 3. Purpose brought Bieber to the Vinyl Albums chart for the first time more than a decade ago and stopped rising at No. 7.

Swag Returns to Two Sales Charts in America

Swag appears on five rankings published by Billboard this week, and it returns to two of them thanks to an uptick in vinyl purchases. In addition to its comeback on the Vinyl Albums tally, the project reenters the Top Album Sales chart at No. 20. The latter showing on the more comprehensive purchase-only tally does not bring Bieber’s offering to a new high, as Swag previously climbed to No. 14.

Swag Climbs on Three More Billboard Charts

The vinyl release also helps Swag gain ground on all three of the additional Billboard rankings where it can be found. The pop and R&B collection returns to the top 10 on the Top R&B Albums chart, lifting from No. 12 to No. 6.

Swag also manages a sizable improvement on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums roster, where it steps from No. 26 to No. 12 – almost returning to the top 10. On the Billboard 200, the full-length rockets more than 50 spaces, bounding from No. 92 to No. 40 as physical purchases give the months-old release another boost.
