GTCR-backed Dentalcorp snaps up Northstar Dental Partners

  • The acquisition represents Dentalcorp’s first in the US
  • Northstar founder and CEO Dr. Jordan Tomalty will retain an ownership stake in the business
  • Dentalcorp provides support for a network of over 650 practices with nearly 6 million patient visits annually

Dentalcorp, which is backed by GTCR, has acquired Northstar Dental Partners, a group of dental practices headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. No financial terms were disclosed.

Based in Toronto, Dentalcorp is a dental support organization.

The acquisition represents Dentalcorp’s first in the US.

Northstar founder and CEO Dr. Jordan Tomalty will retain an ownership stake in the business.

Dentalcorp’s advisors on the transaction included: McDermott Will & Schulte LLP as legal counsel, Plante Moran as financial advisor, as well as Baker Tilly, KPMG and Marwood as tax, commercial and regulatory advisors, respectively. Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Goodmans LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP also served as legal advisors to Dentalcorp on related corporate matters.

Greenberg Traurig and Galvan Messick served as legal counsel to Northstar Dental Partners.
