Golub Capital backs fast-food chain Church’s Texas Chicken
- Currently, Church’s Texas Chicken has more than 1,500 restaurants across the US and 25 plus international markets
- The investment will be used by Church’s to accelerate its next phase of its growth
- In addition to this transaction, Church’s has named Bobby Morena as chief development officer to lead US expansion
Golub Capital has made an investment in Church’s Texas Chicken, a San Antonio, Texas-based fast-food chain. No financial terms were disclosed.
In 2021, Church’s was acquired by High Bluff Capital Partners and Future Standard.
Currently, Church’s Texas Chicken has more than 1,500 restaurants across the US and 25 plus international markets.
The investment will be used by Church’s to accelerate its next phase of its growth.

In addition to this transaction, Church’s has named Bobby Morena as chief development officer to lead US expansion.
This transaction marks the second time Golub Capital has provided financing to Church’s since 2024.
Church’s was founded in 1952.
