Automakers are already previewing 2027 vehicles, and General Motors is planning major updates across several Chevrolet and GMC models. The changes include a refreshed electric SUV, redesigned pickups and an upgraded three-row SUV.
Chevrolet Blazer EV Gets a Refresh
Chevrolet’s Blazer EV is getting a refresh for the 2027 model year. One of the biggest updates is a North American Charging Standard port, which makes it easier for Blazer EV drivers to use Tesla Superchargers for direct-current fast charging.
The 2027 Blazer EV also gets new exterior color options. It starts at $44,700, produces 220 horsepower and has 312 miles of driving range, according to the automaker’s reported specifications.
GMC Sierra 1500 Is Redesigned
GMC’s full-size Sierra 1500 is getting a complete redesign for 2027, including a new exterior and a technology-focused interior.
Drivers will be able to choose from new sixth-generation GM small-block V8 engines, including a 5.7-liter V8 and a 6.6-liter V8. The cabin will feature more than 60 inches of total digital display space, including the instrument cluster, a standard 16.3-inch infotainment display, a head-up display and an available front-passenger screen.
Chevrolet Silverado Adds Major Upgrades
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is also getting a major redesign for 2027. The popular half-ton truck will receive a new exterior, interior and powertrain options, along with a simplified trim lineup.
The Silverado will get the same V8 powertrain options as the Sierra 1500. It will also come standard with a 16.3-inch diagonal center touchscreen infotainment system.
Traverse High Country Gets a Trim Update
Chevrolet is updating the Traverse three-row SUV’s High Country trim with a more modern design. The cabin adds real wood trim, new color schemes and upgraded technology.
Available features include a rear-seat video feed, a power-folding third row and GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.
