Gallant-backed Fime adds French cybersecurity firm Red Alert Labs

  • Red Alert Labs will operate as an accredited independent lab under the new identity “Red Alert Labs, cybersecurity by Fime”
  • Founder Roland Atoui will continue leading Red Alert Labs with an expanded remit
  • The deal comes as the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act reporting rules took effect on September 11, 2026

Fime, a portfolio company of Gallant Capital Partners since 2024, has acquired Red Alert Labs, a French cybersecurity and compliance company, as it builds out its strategy to become a global digital trust provider.

The deal adds cybersecurity evaluation, certification expertise and compliance automation to Fime’s existing capabilities in payments, smart mobility and digital identity. Red Alert Labs brings its CyberPass platform, which lets manufacturers assess compliance readiness and helps certification ecosystems manage assessment and certification processes at scale.

Red Alert Labs will operate as an accredited independent laboratory under the new identity “Red Alert Labs, cybersecurity by Fime,” with founder Roland Atoui continuing to lead the business with an expanded scope.

The acquisition comes as cybersecurity regulation tightens across the industry. The European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act’s reporting obligations took effect on September 11, 2026, with its main requirements due to apply from December 11, 2027, requiring manufacturers to demonstrate ongoing cybersecurity compliance throughout their products’ lifecycles.

Together, Fime and Red Alert Labs plan to support customers from advisory and security design through implementation, testing, evaluation and certification to continuous assurance.
