Avesi Partners-backed Danforth Health acquires rare disease consultancy Ambit

  • The deal is the latest in a string of add-ons backed by Avesi Partners’ growth investment in Danforth
  • Ambit adds medical planning, data analytics and AI-powered technology to Danforth’s commercialization platform
  • Ambit’s chief executive and chief commercial officer remain in their roles after the acquisition

Avesi Partners-backed Danforth Health has acquired Ambit RD, a technology-enabled solutions company specializing in commercial strategy, advanced analytics and patient identification for rare and specialty biopharma companies, for undisclosed terms. The Waltham, Massachusetts-based company said the deal expands its integrated capabilities across the life sciences product lifecycle.

Ambit’s three core solution areas — strategic services, analytics and data services, and patient identification services — are supported by a product portfolio that uses artificial intelligence for digital transformation and to accelerate clinical trial recruitment. Rob Sederman and Ned Kitfield will continue as Ambit’s chief executive and chief commercial officer, respectively.

The acquisition is the latest in a series of add-ons supported by growth investment from Avesi Partners, following the additions of Asymmetry Group and PharmaDirections in 2025; VPMR, Advyzom and Benchworks in 2024; Elite BioPharma Consulting in 2023; and Argot Partners in 2022. Clearsight Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Ambit.
