Ardian to take majority stake in German battery-tech firm Munich Electrification
- Founded in 2014 with around 300 employees, the company’s founders will retain a minority stake while its management team also invests alongside Ardian
- Fresh capital is earmarked for expansion into adjacent markets including data centers, non-road mobile machinery, drones and defense, and automation and robotics, plus selective buy-and-build deals
- Management team draws on prior experience at Tesla, Daimler, BMW, Audi, Continental and Bosch
Ardian has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Munich Electrification, a German battery management systems (BMS) company, from its founders.
