DeSoto Tiny House has Open Porch and Electric Fireplace
US-based park model dealer Carolina Custom Park Models has added the DeSoto tiny house to its 2026 lineup. Measuring 45 feet long and 12 feet wide, the tiny house packs a living room, kitchen, main-floor bedroom, bathroom, and a sleeping loft inside a 399-square-foot footprint. Not to mention an open porch that serves as an adjoining space between indoors and outdoors.
Outside, the walls are finished in Hardie-fiber cement siding, and capped with a metal roof. Other features include vaulted ceilings and dual-pane windows that make the room feel large and airy. The front door leads to the living room. The space is mostly empty and left to be furnished at the dweller’s discretion. One highlight of the living room is the wall-integrated fireplace, which not only adds warmth to it but also accentuates the overall aesthetics.
Ahead of the living room is the kitchen. Functional and practical, the kitchen features a stainless electric smooth-top range, a stainless microwave, and a refrigerator. Among other features are an array of cabinets that host a range of essentials.
A staircase from the kitchen leads to the loft bedroom of the house. Similar to old-school tiny homes, the loft bedroom features a low ceiling but has windows on both sides.
The DeSoto tiny house features a main-floor bedroom that sleeps two. The bedroom keeps things practical, with a barn door on hardware separating it from the rest of the home. For storage, the bedroom is equipped with built-in drawers and a closet with solid shelving and a double-hanging rod.

Elsewhere is the bathroom. It is equipped with a shower, an exhaust fan, a toilet, an oval mirror, and a white porcelain sink with a metal faucet. On the utility side, plumbing runs on PEX with shut-off valves at every fixture, and hot water comes from a Rinnai tankless gas unit rather than a tank, mounted with its own protective cover.
Carolina Custom Park Model lists a handful of popular upgrades for the DeSoto tiny house, including a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, quartz countertops, a bathtub in place of the laminate, and an acrylic shower. The park model was recently sold to a client, but we expect Carolina Custom Park Models to have more models in its inventory.
