The Challenge: Modern Home Office Interior Design & Decor

The client approached Decorilla with a pressing need to transform a small, cluttered, former kids’ room into a sleek, masculine workspace. They sought a modern small home office design solution that was both practical and visually appealing. The existing office chair was to be retained, but everything else was up for a complete overhaul.

Tasks the designer had to fulfill:

  • Incorporate built-ins to utilize high ceilings
  • Select new wall colors and coverings

The first decision was made after the client completed the design questionnaire. The Decorilla team identified two professionals for the project, both with strong track records: Sarah R. and Bridget B. The question was, which one would be the perfect match for the job?

Sarah presented a moodboard that emphasized modern home office design with a focus on clean lines and minimalism. Her vision incorporated sleek built-ins and a neutral palette, aiming to create an organized workspace. In contrast, Bridget’s proposal offered a slightly bolder approach, blending deep tones, timeless elements, and practical storage solutions that capitalized on the high ceilings.

Their first feedback also confirmed the successful alignment of visions: “Thank you so much, Bridget. Love your design, especially the color combinations.
