Ranger Fire and Security, a fire and security platform backed by Inflexion, has acquired Fire Protection Ireland, a Cavan-based fire and security business, taking the Ranger Group to 26 businesses and more than 550 employees.
Fire Protection Ireland was established in 2011 and provides fire and security services, including design, installation and commissioning, to public and private sector customers across Ireland. Its offering spans fire alarm and extinguisher services, CCTV, fire training, nurse call systems, smoke ventilation systems, intruder alarms, and fire retardant and resistant spraying for materials including fabric and timber. The company recently acquired Red Blaze and Red Fire, two Irish fire and security businesses that are now fully integrated under the Fire Protection Ireland brand.
Fire Protection Ireland’s senior leadership team, including managing director Sean Sharkey, sales director Richie MacKay and projects director Andy Redmond, will remain in place.
The acquisition builds on Ranger’s existing presence in Ireland, including Galway-based Henderson Fire and Safety and Cork-based Emerald Fire Technology, both of which joined the group this year. Backed by Inflexion, Ranger has been acquiring regional operators across the UK and Ireland as part of a consolidation strategy in the fire and security sector.
