Remember the Currituck tiny house that we covered a couple of weeks ago? Built around the same layout, Carolina Custom Tiny Homes has now put the Cape tiny house on sale. Measuring 35.4 feet long and 13.4 feet wide, the tiny house not only boasts a similar bright aqua vertical siding exterior as the Currituck tiny home but also includes a gourmet kitchen, a spacious bathroom, a private bedroom, and a porch that fits in a 399-square-foot footprint.
The tiny house is poised on a triple-axle trailer and capped with a metal roof. It comes equipped with a gaggle of windows that keep the interior airy and bright, while a Panasonic 3-Head Ductless AC/Heat mini-split system helps maintain a comfortable temperature throughout.
As is the case with modern park model dwellings, the Cape tiny house features a covered porch. While Carolina Custom Tiny Homes has left the space without any furnishings, it is totally up to dwellers’ discretion whether they would like the space to function as an outdoor lounge. A 36×80-inch front door with a 9-lite design leads to the living room.
Carolina Custom Tiny Homes has taken a page from Decathlon Tiny Homes’ dictionary and kept the space empty. There is enough space for the dweller to add a sofa and a table alongside. The living room features smooth sheetrock walls, textured ceilings, and craftsman-style trim. LED lighting, ceiling fan wiring, and mini blinds add aesthetics to the living room.
The kitchen is nearby and is well-stocked for a tiny house of its size, with laminate countertops and a ceramic backsplash. Compact but functional, the kitchen features a stainless steel sink and a stainless-steel refrigerator, dishwasher, and full-size gas/propane range. A microwave is included, which has become somewhat essential in tiny homes. Then we have undercounter and overhead cabinets, all offering plenty of space for storing groceries and other essentials.

A little ahead is the bathroom. This has a stacked washer/dryer, storage space, an incinerating toilet, and a free-standing shower. Despite its lengthy footprint, the Cape tiny house sleeps only a couple. This makes it a great downsizing option for a couple or anyone seeking a simpler way of life without giving up some of the comforts of a larger dwelling.
The Cape tiny house relies on standard RV-style hookup. This includes a 20-gallon electric water heater with a shut-off switch, full-house water shut-off and valves under sinks, AC disconnect and heat tape receptacle alongside washer/dryer and 3-head ductless AC/Heat mini-split system.
