400 Sq. Ft. Apex Park Model Tiny House Sleeps Six in Three Bedrooms

Family downsizing is the dream of modern homeowners. Given the current economy, mortgage rates, and spiking rents, tiny homes are among the most viable solutions. Compared to traditional housing, micro-dwellings do offer more freedom, versatility, and a certain angle of affordability. If you are looking to downsize, the Apex park model tiny house designed and built by British Columbia-based Summit Tiny Homes might just be the one.

The Apex PM tiny house is equipped with three bedrooms to suit the needs of a family. It is draped in rich wood accents, a deep color palette, and crisp lines. Created alongside its brethren, the Hummingbird PM tiny house, the Apex measures 40 feet long and 10 feet wide, offering a generous 400 square feet of living space.

There are two lofts, a main-floor bedroom, a gourmet cooking space, a living space, and a bathroom. The tiny house on a foundation flaunts a cottagecore exterior with natural wood shingles and board-and-batten siding. An equally charming interior complements it with deep green and blue hues, bringing warmth.

There are two entrances into the Apex tiny house: one opening into the bedroom, while the other opens into the living area. The living area is designed to entertain. You can place a large couch or sofa bed next to two picture windows. Overhead is the secondary loft. It is accessible via a removable ladder and can sleep one person comfortably.

Adjacent is an expansive kitchen clad in deep forest green with custom millwork. It has ample storage, prep space, and modern appliances. The L-shaped countertops pull double duty as a dining area. But should you wish to have a bigger eating space, there is room for a dining table in the living area.

As for the cooking appliances, there is a full refrigerator, a four-burner cooktop, a range hood, and an oven. A farmhouse sink fits neatly in the green space. Overhead China cabinets and under-counter cabinets further add more convenience and functionality.

Next to the kitchen are storage-integrated stairs, leading to the primary bedroom with a skylight. For the staircase railing, the builder has used wood slats, adding a partial privacy screen with a bit of flair. It has two windows, which, despite the low ceilings, allow the space to feel spacious and open. You can put twin beds in the loft for the kids to sleep.

Underneath the loft is a full bathroom. It has a tiled shower stall, a toilet, a vanity sink, and plenty of storage space in the form of cabinets and shelves.

Past the bathroom is the master bedroom. It fits a king- or queen-size bed. The bedroom has a separate glass entrance, a large picture window, and a huge built-in closet.

The Apex Park Model tiny house comes fitted with advanced insulation, energy-efficient heating and cooling, and on-demand water heating. Priced at $CAD215,000 (roughly US$159,000), this micro-dwelling is great for a small family of four or five. If that’s you, this tiny house can be yours.
