&Partners has added Bucholtz Germo, a former Commonwealth team in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, that manages $352 million in assets.
It’s the second Commonwealth hire in as many weeks for the fast-growing hybrid broker-dealer and RIA based in Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis. SBS Retirement Consultants in Fairbanks, Alaska, recently joined h firm.
Bucholtz Germo is led by co-founder and Managing Director David Bucholtz and co-founder and wealth advisor Michael Germo. The duo merged their separate practices in March 2003, according to a news release.
Germo started in the industry with IDS Life Insurance Company and American Express Financial Advisors in 1981and has worked for Integrated Resources Equity Corporation and Royal Alliance Associates, where he stayed for 29 years and founded Financial Planning Resources in 2004. He joined Commonwealth in 2019, according to BrokerCheck.
Bucholtz started with Transamerica Financial Resources in 1995 and worked for firms including A.G. Edwards & Sons. He registered with Commonwealth in 2003 and founded Bucholtz Consulting in 2004.
The 10-member team also includes financial advisors Isaac Bushen, James Tracz and Joe Suster; wealth management associate Kelly Vinopal; senior client relationship manager Gail Burdyshaw; and client service associates Michelle Becker, Michelle Priester and Cherie Rosenberger.
The team, which has been serving families and business owners in Northeast Ohio for decades, “emphasizes education throughout the planning process, creating an environment where questions are encouraged and two-way communication is an important part of the client relationship,” the release said.

Bucholtz Germo is the 125th advisor practice to join &Partners since its founding in 2023 by former Wells Fargo executives David Kowach, John Alexander and Kristi Mitchem. The firm had $63 billion in assets as of September 1.
