Fish tanks have been around for a long while, with little change in design or technology over the years. At IFA 2026, Dreame set out to change that by introducing its LumaTempo smart fish tank, taking a hard swerve from its usual portfolio of robot vacuums. The best part about this state-of-the-art aquarium is that you can control it from your phone. Does that sound convenient? Then read on!
The Dreame LumaTempo smart fish tank is equipped with 20 customizable lighting modes and a built-in feeder. This inclusion would make taking care of fish easier than with traditional tanks, where fish often go without food for days just because you missed feeding them.
While the Dreame smart fish tank automates a few things, it gives you full control via the app. You can control the LumoTempo remotely to check how much you’re feeding the fish through the built-in feeder, and also keep tabs on the tank’s water temperature. When you’re around, you can also go the usual manual route to care for the fish.

You can schedule up to 15 feeding times per day (according to Dreame’s lab testing findings), with a pump-pause function that suspends water circulation during feeding. The smart aquarium has a dual-pump engine that supports continuous water circulation through a seven-layer filtration system, keeping water pristine and healthy for the fish to thrive.
The feeding history is at your fingertips thanks to the smart app. Meanwhile, you can play around with the lighting modes and custom colors, all adjustable from the smartphone. You get 20 preset lighting modes, including color-enhancing spectra, natural circadian rhythms, and dynamic visual effects, with complete app customization for brightness and color, making it fairly interactive.
Thanks to the real-time environmental monitoring and integrated sensors, you know when water temperature falls outside the configured threshold. The app notifies you of temperature changes, alongside reminders for water change, feeding status, and filter replacement.
Dreame’s fun, futuristic take on the traditional aquarium is exciting and a leap into another fully connected smart-home device. The advantage of being able to monitor and view feeding history, along with controlling the water temperature, is huge. It’ll take the guesswork out and help you create a well-informed habitat for your fish.

You can now actually keep track of what is working for the fish and what is not, or what feeding quantity is ideal. Changing color lights is an aesthetic advantage, not so much for the fish, but definitely for you, when you have the fish tank sitting in the central part of your living room.
By packing lighting, feeding, and monitoring together in one sleek smart home product, Dreame has entered a fairly ignored home space, paving the way for a more cohesive smart home ecosystem. Considering the fact that it will burn a slight hole in the pocket at launch, it may not be the fish tank for everyone. But it is certainly for people who’ll love watching the marine life thrive in a controlled environment from the comfort of their phones.
The only problem with this smart fish tank, and it’s a big one for now, is that it launches next year. The specification details, pricing, or the launch date remain under wraps at the time of writing.
