Paradise guest star Shailene Woodley was awarded the first acting honor Sunday for The Bear at the Creative Arts Emmys at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Performers from The Pitt, DTF St. Louis and Widow’s Bay were also honored at the celebration, which marked the second night of the annual Creative Arts ceremony.

Woodley won a Guest Actress in a Drama Emmy for her turn as Annie Clay in Season 2 of Hulu’s Paradise. Annie is a tour guide at Graceland who survives the event known as “The Day” by hunkering down in Elvis Presley’s bunker.

Annie eventually emerges to meet a fellow group of survivors and eventually helps Xavier Brooks (Sterling K. Brown) on his path to finding his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma), after he discovers she is alive.

Woodley’s Emmy win is her first in two tries. She was previously nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie for Big Little Lies in 2017.

Ernest Harden Jr. won the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series Emmy for playing Louie Cloverfield — a regular patient at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center — in the HBO Max drama The Pitt. The win came for Harden’s first Primetime Emmy nomination.

Betty Gilpin’s turn as Sarah Westcott Warren — the second wife of Widow’s Bay founder Richard Warren (Hamish Linklater) — in Apple TV’s Widow’s Bay won her the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy. The win was Gilpin’s first after three nominations in the Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series category for Glow.

Reiner won a posthumous Emmy for playing Albert Schnurr in Season 4 of Hulu’s The Bear. Reiner, who died tragically along with his wife, Michelle Singer, in December 2025, previously won Emmys in the Supporting Actor in a Comedy category in 1974 and 1978 for playing Michael Stivic in the classic sitcom All in the Family.

The announcement of Reiner’s win prompted the crowd to give the late filmmaker and actor a standing ovation at the Peacock Theater.

Outstanding Guest Actor and Actress Emmys in the Comedy and Drama categories are traditionally awarded at the Creative Arts ceremony, while Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie were moved from the main ceremony to the Creative Arts ceremony this year.

HBO Max’s DTF St. Louis took the latter two categories for David Harbour and Linda Cardellini for playing Floyd Smernitch and Carol Love-Smernitch. Both Harbour and Cardellini became first-time winners for their turns in the dark comedy.

This year’s main event is set for Monday, Sept. 14.
