&Partners has landed a former Commonwealth team in Alaska that oversees $684 in assets under management.
SBS Retirement Consultants, in Fairbanks, is the first advisory practice in the state for &Partners, the fast-growing hybrid broker-dealer and RIA based in Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis.
SBS is led by partners and financial advisors Shawn Wiegand, Jordan Hendry, Ben Roth, and Shannon Staiger. The team also includes Ethan Daniels (a partner and director of planning) and senior client service associates Laura Shaeffer, Calvon Boots and Rebecca Bentaas.
Wiegand, Hendry and Staiger had been with Commonwealth for 22 years. All three started in the industry in the 1990s and early 2000s with IDS Life Insurance and American Express Financial Advisors Inc. Hendry started with Commonwealth in 2016.

SBS Retirement Consultants is the 124th advisor practice to join &Partners since its founding in 2023 by former Wells Fargo executives David Kowach, John Alexander and Kristi Mitchem. The firm had $60 billion in assets as of July 31.
