Sowell Management Launches Estate, Tax Team For Wealthy


Sowell Management, a registered investment advisory firm in North Little Rock, Ark., overseeing $6.9 billion in client assets, has announced its launch of a new integrated estate, tax and advanced planning team called Advanced Planning Group.


The new initiative is designed to help advisors working with wealthy individuals and families and small business owners. The firm said the group will be available to advisors working with Sowell and with its recently launched division for high-net-worth individuals, Cache River Private Wealth.


The Advanced Planning Group will be led by Carrie Quraishi, the director of advanced planning, and JR Quraishi, director of tax planning. The firm said in a press release that the new group will help families with help families with complex issues such as “wealth transfer, family stewardship, business succession, tax planning, and long-term legacy objectives.”


Carrie Quraishi said in the statement that wealthy clients are increasingly demanding family office type services, and that the new team will expand Sowell’s ability to help such clients and “support them through significant life and wealth events, including business sales, liquidity events, succession planning, and multi-generational wealth transfer.” 


“As clients accumulate wealth, their financial lives become increasingly complex, with needs that extend beyond traditional investment management,” said Bill Sowell, founder and chief strategy officer at Sowell Management, in a press release. “The launch of our Advanced Planning Group reinforces Sowell’s ongoing focus on partnership, organic growth and delivering truly differentiating resources that help advisors navigate complexity with confidence.”


Sowell launched Cache River Private Wealth in April as a wholly owned division. Its purpose is to serve households with more than $5 million in net worth.
