The bathroom has evolved from a purely functional space into a bold canvas for haute couture, and the Jacqueline Collection by Italian brand Gessi mirrors that perception by using rare materials to become a functional piece of art. It is the first luxury bathroom range crafted using hand-selected, real bamboo roots that truly makes a high fashion visual statement.
To make the Jacqueline Collection, natural bamboo is carefully selected and handcrafted by Italian artisans to form unique shapes. The bamboo pieces are treated individually for water plumbing compatibility while preserving the natural material’s originality. The knots are clearly visible on each faucet, and interestingly, can’t be replicated exactly, even with advanced machines.
From sanding and making a hole, each piece is made by hand, and thus it is obvious that no two pieces will ever be alike. The collection combines natural elements with timeless Italian design to transform “everyday rituals into an expression of artistry and enduring beauty.”
Inspired by the refined language of haute couture accessories, the Jacqueline Collection transforms everyday bathroom fixtures into sculptural design pieces. Carrying on the theme of the world of haute couture, the collection also features distinctive water control levers inspired by the clasps of handbags and fashion accessories. These are available in metal with leather-effect details or in a horn-effect finish, which create a pleasing contrast between materials for adding to the overall design.

The Jacqueline bathroom collection is offered in a range of metal finishes, including Matte Black. In the Black Edition, the natural grain of the bamboo is emphasized to create a “more understated and contemporary aesthetic.”
Gessi first premiered the collection at Salone del Mobile 2023, aiming to explore the use of natural materials in luxury bathroom design. It still stands as a signature anchor of Gessi’s haute culture design philosophy.
