WE11DONE x Helinox Camping Chair has Draped Tailoring, Metal Piercing
South Korea-based luxury fashion brand WE11DONE, in collaboration with camping gear brand Helinox, has designed its first capsule collection that combines fashion and camping furniture. The collection comprises jersey T-shirts and a new camping chair based on Helinox’s iconic Tactical Chair One blueprint. It features custom WE11DONE hardware and structural finishes to achieve a unique aesthetic.
At the core of this camping chair is WE11DONE’s signature draped tailoring style. Just like the brand’s clothing collections, it gives the seat fabric soft folds and a sculptural look rather than the typical tightly stretched canvas found on most camping chairs. This makes the chair look more like a designer furniture piece than traditional camping gear.
To achieve this signature aesthetic, WE11DONE designers have cut the seat fabric with tighter and looser sections. When stretched over the aluminum frame, it naturally forms elegant draped folds. This creates a high-fashion look without compromising the chair’s strength, stability, and seating comfort.
WE11DONE’s signature metal piercing detail is also built into the chair’s frame and fabric layout, adding punk elegance to the overall design. The industrial, cold metal hardware serves as a visual anchor against the soft drape of the seat. Even the carry bag has piercing details to match the theme. The design layout also focuses on minimalist, muted streetwear tones with deep black and rich charcoal.

The project seems to be prioritizing aesthetics in the camping chair. Adding draped fabric is a good strategy, but we doubt adding piercing rings to the camping chair would increase the weight, making it heavier to carry on camping trips. As for the DAC aluminum alloy frame and shock-coded poles, it will be interesting to see whether the camping chair retains these details.
All the design tactics together result in a functional outdoor object for both urban and natural settings. With this collaboration, WE11DONE and Helinox try to create a relationship between technical furniture and contemporary fashion. The WE11DONE x Helinox camping chair is now available through the WE11DONE official online store for ₩330,000 (about $210).
