Arlington-backed TRP Infrastructure closes five add-on deals to form new highway plastics division

  • The deal targets are being folded into a new TRP platform called Gulf Highway Materials, which is focused on thermoplastic manufacturing. 
  • The founders of each company will join TRP and continue to lead business activities.

TRP Infrastructure Services, a provider of roadway pavement marking and traffic control services, and portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, announced the signing of five add-on acquisitions for Southeast and Central US market expansion.

TRP is acquiring Interstate Barricades & Markings, Alamo Roadway Materials, Traffic Control Products, DIJ Construction and Batterson LLPEach of the deal targets is being folded into a new TRP platform called Gulf Highway Materials, which is focused on thermoplastic manufacturing.

The acquisitions will enable TRP to better service customers in Texas, Mississippi, and the broader Southeast while also enabling its launch of the plastic pavement markings production division, Gulf Highway Materials. The new division will serve as a cost-effective supplier for TRP’s pavement marking projects across the region.

“TRP’s expansion reflects Arlington’s commitment to building purpose-driven companies that are essential to the future of America’s infrastructure, which will be increasingly important given the rise in autonomous vehicle technology,” Mark Giragosian, a principal at Arlington Capital, said in a statement.

The founders of each company will join TRP and continue to lead business activities. For example, Cody Clark, co-founder Clark Construction, will serve as VP of business development and growth of TRP’s Gulf Highway Materials division.

Arlington Capital acquired TRP, a roadway markings company based in Fort Worth, Texas, in mid-2021 from founders Rod Pekurney and Nathan Aust.
