KKR-backed FGS scoops up government affairs firm Rich Feuer Anderson
- The deal combines RFA’s advocacy and regulatory experience with FGS’s expertise in strategic communications, transaction advisory and crisis management.
- FGS, formerly Finsbury Glover Hering and Sard Verbinnen, has been owned by KKR funds since 2024.
FGS Global, a New York-based strategic communications firm owned by KKR, announced the acquisition of Rich Feuer Anderson, a bipartisan government affairs firm based in Washington, DC.
The deal combines RFA’s advocacy expertise and regulatory access with FGS’s expertise in strategic communications, transaction advisory and crisis management.
“Financial services and energy are two of the most rapidly shifting and dynamic industries globally, and the clients we serve in these sectors are asking for something the market has not yet delivered: Washington policy depth, regulatory access, and world-class communications under one roof,” said Winnie Lerner, Partner and North America CEO of FGS.
Formed in 2003, RFA advises Fortune 500 companies as well as fintech startups, banks, asset managers, insurance companies, energy producers and utilities on regulatory and legislative policy matters.
The deal announcement marks FGS’s second acquisition of a specialist bipartisan government affairs firm, following the September 2025 acquisition of Tarplin, Downs & Young, a healthcare policy and advocacy firm that advises clients on legislative and regulatory matters.
