Most greenhouses are treated as purely utilitarian outposts – dedicated strictly to planting and growing. However, just as David and Victoria Beckham did on their Cotswolds estate, Joanna turned her space into an extension of her dining room. As a result, we’re rethinking how we use our own garden spaces.
And while it remains unclear whether Joanna has actually hosted dinner parties inside her greenhouse, the presence of the antique table is inspiration enough.

‘Surrounded by natural light, lush greenery, and the rhythms of the seasons, even an ordinary meal or cup of coffee becomes a restorative experience,’ Nina adds. ‘It’s a beautiful example of biophilic garden design, where nature isn’t just something we admire through a window, but something we immerse ourselves in, allowing the space to nourish relationships, support well-being, and encourage us to slow down and savor the moment.’
