Lunark Launches $39 Knife That Doubles as Phone Stand

So when San Francisco-based startup Lunark launched the Edge & Pop Dual multitool on Kickstarter, it had to make sure the product doesn’t overlap with what’s already crowding the market, without overdoing its design just to stand out. The $39 EDC gear triples as a pocket-size everyday carry tool, folding a Damascus steel knife, a bottle opener, and a phone stand into a single slider body. The best part of the Lunark Dual is its design. Traditional multitools often cram in screwdrivers, pliers, nail cutters, and other add-ons until the whole thing feels cluttered. All this comes down to the tool’s two slide-out arms, which pack in more than a traditional folding blade could. Lunark’s track record with Edge & Pop gives Dual a head start in credibility, but backers are still funding a product ahead of full-scale production rather than buying a finished item off a shelf.
